New Northport Clay Works Studio Coming

April 12, 2021

The Northport Arts Association (NAA) has developed a plan to renovate the office building next door to its current location, at 301 W. Mill Street in the village of Northport, into a fully functioning pottery studio for classes and memberships. The community will have access to instruction in wheel throwing, sculptural clay works, tile construction, and glazing technique. It will also to be a year-round resource for experienced clay artists to buy memberships for use of the facility to create their own art. An artist-in-residence series is also in the works.

The nonprofit NAA is committed to fund the project and needed supplies through grants, donations and fundraising events now until December. Its members are asking for donations large and small to make this happen. More information on the Northport Clay Works Studio can be found on the NAA’s website.
