Leelanau Township Community Foundation Awards $13,000 in Grants
The Leelanau Township Community Foundation (LTCF) Board of Trustees approved grants to three organizations in Leelanau County:
· Suttons Bay High School Robotics Program, recipient of a $1,500 grant from the Youth Endowment Fund to help cover entry, travel and material costs for their 2026 (January - April) competition season.
· Michigan State Police, recipient of a $1,500 grant from the General Endowment Fund to provide funding to help provide trauma-informed, client-centered support to individuals and families impacted by crime and violence.
· Conservation Resource Alliance, recipient of a $10,000 grant from the General Endowment Fund to support strategic native tree planting and ongoing stewardship on permanently protected public lands in Leelanau County, strengthening forest health, improving wildlife habitat, enhancing water quality through natural filtration and increasing long-term climate resilience.
Upcoming grant application due dates for 2026 are Jan 1, March 1, May 1, July 1, September 1 and November 1.
