Esch Road/Otter Creek Beach Access Closed To All Traffic Through Late October
By Emily Tyra | Sept. 6, 2022
A much-anticipated reconstruction/resurfacing of Esch Road leading to Otter Creek/Esch Beach kicked off today, September 6.
The Benzie County Road Commission, Team Elmers, and Gourdie-Fraser, Inc. will be working on Esch Road over the next six weeks (weather/schedule permitting).
Construction will take place from M-22 to the popular Lake Michigan beach access in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
The crews note that the road will be closed to all traffic, and thank the public in advance for their support obeying traffic barriers to keep all workers safe on site during reconstruction.
