Leelanau Photographer Named Business Of Year
Oct. 26, 2015
The Leelanau Peninsula Chamber of Commerce has named Ken Scott Photography its 2015 Outstanding Business of the Year. The award is given annually to a business that reflects the mission of the Chamber – enhancing the economic well-being of tourism, business, industry, agriculture and the arts while striving to preserve the amenities of the Leelanau Peninsula.
Scott has published several books featuring Leelanau images, including Ice Caves of Leelanau, Back Pages of Leelanau County, Why We Preserve (in collaboration with the Leelanau Conservancy) and Leelanau. This year he also completed a shoreline trek with fellow artist Kaye Krapohl, documenting the entire Leelanau coastline.
