Leland Educational Foundation Fundraiser Upcoming

April 25, 2025

The Leland Educational Foundation (LEF) is hosting its annual Kentucky Derby-themed fundraiser, “All Bets Are On!”, on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Old Art Building in Leland, Michigan. This event combines the excitement of Derby Day with a meaningful cause—supporting educational enrichment at Leland Public School. Wear your festive Derby attire and celebrate the changing season, enjoy lively company, and raise money for a great cause!

Attendees can look forward to a festive evening featuring live-streaming of the Derby, interactive fundraising activities including a silent auction, entertainment, and Derby themed food and refreshments. Proceeds from the fundraiser will directly benefit LEF’s mission to provide grants for field trips, classroom equipment, mentoring programs, and other educational opportunities not covered by the school budget.

Tickets are available for purchase through the LEF website or at the door. If you are unable to attend the event, you can support by purchasing a ticket for a teacher to attend, making a donation, or purchasing raffle tickets.

The Leland Educational Foundation (LEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of students at Leland Public School. Governed by a volunteer board comprising parents, teachers, and community members, LEF operates independently from the school district, focusing on raising funds to support programs and resources beyond the school’s standard budget .

LEF provides grants for a variety of initiatives, including class field trips, camps, new equipment, mentoring programs, and special projects requested by teachers. These grants aim to enrich the students’ learning experiences and contribute to the world-class education offered at Leland Public School .

Funding for LEF comes from donations, sponsorships, and special fundraising events. For more information about LEF’s mission, upcoming events, or to make a donation, follow on Facebook, Instagram, and visit the website.
