Leland Watercolor Artist Launches Towns of 22 Series (Omena Debuts Today)

By Emily Tyra | Oct. 21, 2020

Artist Kristin MacKenzie is painting her way around the Leelanau Peninsula and the coastline of Benzie County, releasing an iconic watercolor the third Wednesday of each month until she makes her way back to her hometown of Leland.

“I will be releasing a collection of products highlighting a different town along the M-22 Highway, starting with Northport,” MacKenzie explains.

Omena debuts today

“It’s been an overwhelming response,” she says. “There are not many events to look forward to, so this is something happy happening to add to your calendar, as silly as that sounds. People like having their special place to look forward to.”
