Property Watch: Power Island Lookout

Nov. 21, 2022

Just listed on West Bay: A 1.2-acre, sandy-bottom beach site with 100 feet of frontage directly facing Power Island (6405 West Bay Shore Dr.; $490,000; MLS# 1906744).

Listing agent Cory Beuerle of Century 21 Northland notes that a vacant parcel like this is a now rarity in Leelanau County, with its central location “10 minutes to either Traverse City or Suttons Bay,” adding, “not many bayfront lots of this quality are left.”

Beuerle shares that following proper permitting in Bingham Township, “potentially three buildings are allowed on the property, a house, garage, possibly even a boathouse,” with stone pillars and footings for the latter remaining onsite from previous owners.

A shared driveway down to the bay already is in place.
