The Leelanau Ticker is back with a look at the most alarming, offbeat, or otherwise newsworthy calls to the Leelanau Office of Emergency Management/911 dispatch. The following is excerpted from the June 10 to June 16 call reports.

10:16am 6/10/2025 Assault Cleveland Twp., Two employees were arguing, eventually one struck the other. 

11:28am 6/10/2025 Animal Control Leelanau Cty., Saw a single cow by the road north of the campground. 

7:45pm 6/10/2025 Suspicious Incident Leelnaanu Twp., There was an older lady running around the tennis courts naked.

1:13pm 6/11/2025 Citizen Assist Cedar, Black car following woman walking along the side of the road, woman possibly got out of the car but that’s an assumption. Vehicle whipped a u-turn while she was walking. They seemed to be arguing. 

2:39pm 6/11/2025 Animal Control Lake Leelanau, One mile north of this address there is a possum still alive but injured in the road.

4:46pm 6/11/2025 Road Hazard Lake Leelanau, Fish tank or dresser in the middle of the road and glass all over the road.

6:00am 6/12/2025 Suspicious Incident S West-Bay Shore Dr., Caller had a gun pulled on him.

5:38pm 6/12/2025 Info Cedar, Caller reporting subject came out and was yelling as they were walking on the public sidewalk. Caller wants it on record as it is an ongoing issue. 

9:59pm 6/12/2025 Found Property Bingham Twp., Caller just got home and was tidying up yard. He found a package with sprinklers in it, one has chainsaw chains. Packages look to have been left there purposefully after being opened. 

11:08am 6/13/2025 Civil Leelanau Cty., Hired someone to excavate driveway and they left piles of dirt blocking driveway because they have not been paid.

11:53am 6/13/2025 Animal Control Centerville Twp., Says there are horses at a farm that appear neglected.

4:57pm 6/15/2025 Threats Leelanau Cty., Overheard a conversation, threats made. 

5:52pm 6/15/2025 Civil Elmwood Twp., Neighbor has been harassing caller since 6/11. Black pickup who slows down and revs engine. 

3:01pm 6/16/2025 Civil N West-Bay Shore Dr., Male snooping and looking in window, white Ford pickup truck, cutting the grass. Caller believes he has been trespassed from the residence.
