The Leelanau Ticker is back with a look at the most alarming, offbeat, or otherwise newsworthy calls to the Leelanau Office of Emergency Management/911 dispatch. The following is excerpted from the April 16 to April 21 call reports.

7:30am 4/16/2024 Suspicious Vehicle S West-Bay Shore Dr., Suspicious vehicle sitting across the street. 

8:46am 4/16/2024 Animal Control Solon Twp., Concerned about a dog at this address, constantly being left outside without food, water or shelter. 

11:01am 4/17/2024 Suspicious Person S West-Bay Shore Dr., 45-23 called out with 2 individuals who just jumped the chain link fence going into the boat yard. Made contact with them, they are the owners. 

6:26am 4/18/2024 Suspicious Incident Elmwood Twp., Ex boyfriend is in the driveway, doesn’t want him to come in the house. Will call for a civil standby next week to collect the rest of the belongings. 

12:08pm 4/18/2024 Animal Control Cedar, Blind, half jack russell terrier and half beagle, black/white, about 15 lbs, male, lost since yesterday around 8pm. 

10:55am 4/19/2024 Traffic Violation Empire Twp., Westbound Ford truck behind the caller tailgating.

5:07pm 4/19/2024 911 Hangup Kasson Twp., Said hello, no other conversation, call back left voicemail. No emergencies here. 

12:59pm 4/20/2024 Stalking Leelanau Cty., Caller is in the middle of a divorce and found airtags in his vehicles over the last couple of months.

6:33pm 4/20/2024 Break Enter Bingham Twp., Has man on camera cutting locks and removing items from a storage. 

1:05pm 4/21/2024 MDOP Maple City, Between Friday noon and this morning someone graffitied on inside basement wall. 

8:35pm 4/21/2024 Animal Control Elmwood Twp., 2 huskies are being left outside in kennels and not being taken care of.
