Elmwood Fire Truck Auction Ends Soon
Oct. 23, 2023
If you've ever wanted to own your own fire truck, now could be the time.
Elmwood Township is auctioning off a 1994 International 200 Series fire truck. Offcials there say it would be perfect for a construction business, landscaping company, volunteer fire department, or to provide portable irrigation on a farm. The auction ends Tuesday, Oct. 24.
The listing on Municibid says the truck, which retired from service in late 2021, was inspected weekly by fire department staff and at least annually at a licensed truck facility. One of the annual inspections covered MDOT requirements. Maintenance records are on file at the towship, and those wishing to view the truck can check it out at the Elmwood Township Fire Department.
All of the proceeds are expected to be invested back into the Elmwood Township community.
