Sleeping Bear Dunes Challenges Students To Solve A Mystery

March 30, 2020

The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is hosting free online distance learning lessons this week. “Where’s the Ranger” is a 20-question location mystery that registered students can interact with the ranger and one another to solve.

Dates and times available for the “face-to-face” webcam-based sessions:

Tuesday, March 31, 1 pm

Thursday, April 2nd, 1 pm

Registered students will work together by asking “yes or no” questions to find out the National Park Service site where the ranger works. After collaborating to solve the answers, students will find out more about Sleeping Bear Dunes. Participants are asked to keep the answer a surprise.

The program will last about 30 minutes.

To join this interactive lesson you will need an email address, phone line, and a device with internet capabilities. To register, please send an email to slbe_education@nps.gov to get the instructions for joining the lesson.
