Backyard Blues, Brews & BBQ Coming to Lively Acres in August
June 12, 2026
Lively Acres has announced a new festival for August.
the first annual Backyard Blues, Brews & BBQ will be held on August 7 and 8.
"Our Backyard space has a history of hosting many a rockin' band, and lots of talented singer songwriters - but not yet a full day of foot-tapping, boogyin' blues," Owner Jim Lively says in an email to supporters. "And with our connection to so much amazing local food - pork, beef, and veggies - the barbecue and sides are going to be over the top."
The headliner is Thoretta Davis (Detroit's "Queen of the Blues"), who will be joined by the Fabulous Horndogs, Brendon Linsley Band and Captain Dirk.
In addition to local BBQ, the festival will offer beer from Stormcloud Brewery and wines from Mawby and Big Little.
