BATA Offering Complimentary Shuttle Service for Cedar Polka Fest

By Craig Manning | Aug. 28, 2026

The Cedar Polka Fest, one of the last big events of the summer season in Leelanau County, is officially underway. The festival kicked off yesterday (Thursday) and will run through Sunday. As usual, this year's event includes Polka Fest traditions like live polka music, Polish food specialties, a parade, the Run 4 the Kielbasa road race, and more.

Those who live near the base of Leelanau Peninsula can take advantage of free BATA rides to get to and from the Polka Fest. Today and tomorrow, complimentary BATA shuttles will be ferrying festival goers between the Meijer parking lot on US-31 and the festival grounds in downtown Cedar. Shuttle service runs from 5pm to midnight, with buses departing from Meijer every 30 minutes.
