Maritime History Festival This Weekend

Sept. 11, 2026

One of "Northern Michigan’s most unique waterfront events" unfolds on Saturday at the 4th Annual Leelanau Maritime History Festival in Leland.

The event is hosted by the Leelanau Historical Society and will be held along the newly constructed Leland River boardwalk at 203 E. Cedar Street.

"This vibrant, family-friendly celebration invites visitors to explore the sights, sounds, and stories of the Great Lakes while enjoying a day in one of the region’s most picturesque coastal villages," the historical society said in a statement.

Van's Garage will also host a car show as part of the festivities. A full schedule and much more information is available here.
