Northport Voters To Decide On Dam
June 24, 2026
The Northport Village Council voted recently to put repairs for the village dam on Mill Pond on the ballot.
The .9 mill levy would cost cost a house with a taxable value of $200K $180/year for 20 years, council member Will Harper tells The Ticker.
The millage will effectively decide the dam's fate, Village Manager Jered Ottenwess previously told The Ticker. If it fails, the dam will be removed. Its status has been a point of contention in recent years.
