The Bay Theatre Hosts First Late-Night Showing (& More) Halloween Weekend

By Emily Tyra | Oct. 19, 2020

The Bay Community Theatre in Suttons Bay is showing creepy classic films for all ages, including its first ever late-night screening, on Halloween weekend.

Halloween — the first movie in the highest grossing horror film series — will be shown at 10:30pm on Friday and Saturday. Hotel Transylvania and Beetlejuice are also on the weekend’s lineup, with costumes are encouraged for all showings.

Seating is limited to 50 seats per showing, and tickets can be purchased in advance online.

Here’s the lineup:

Hotel Transylvania, PG — 2pm Saturday, October 31

Beetlejuice, PG — 7:30pm Friday, October 30 and Saturday October 31; 4:30pm Sunday November 1

Halloween, R — 10:30pm Friday, October 30 and Saturday October 31

“We want to provide something fun for the whole family for the weekend,” said Rick Andrews, President of the Bay Community Theatre. “With trick or treating being cancelled in communities and indoor gatherings being limited, we want to provide something for people who like to get dressed up in costume to have a safe place to go.”

In addition, The Cherryland Ghostbusters will be available for photo ops before the movie Beetlejuice starting at 6:30pm, Friday, October 30.

To plan your visit to The Bay Theatre, check out the theatre’s COVID-19 plan online. Face masks and social distancing are required, with special seating to accommodate groups of two, three and four. The Bay Theatre is also a participating organization in the CinemaSafe program of the National Association of Theater Owners.
